Why is the LED still on even when the engine is turned off?+
This is completely normal. Some vehicles continue supplying power to the OBD2 port for a short period after the engine is turned off. The LED will automatically turn off once the vehicle enters sleep mode.
How do I know if the installation was successful?+
After plugging the Nitro OBD2 into your vehicle's OBD2 port, the LED indicator should light up. This confirms that the device is receiving power and is properly connected. For best results, drive your vehicle normally for approximately 150–200 km to allow the ECU to adapt.
Will the Nitro OBD2 drain my car battery?+
No. The Nitro OBD2 is designed with very low power consumption. It enters a low-power or sleep state together with your vehicle, so it will not drain your car battery under normal operating conditions.
Can I leave the Nitro OBD2 plugged in all the time?+
Yes. The Nitro OBD2 is designed to remain connected to your vehicle's OBD2 port for continuous operation. There is no need to unplug it after every drive.
Can I remove the Nitro OBD2 during PMS?+
Yes. Simply unplug the Nitro OBD2 before your vehicle's preventive maintenance service (PMS) or dealership visit. After the service, plug it back into the OBD2 port and continue using it as normal.
